Individual riding lessons or groups of lessons are available with the instructor of your choice. If in doubt as to which instructor will be the right one for you – please ask.
Lessons can be taken on your own horse. We regret that we no longer have riding school horses or ponies for hire for lessons.
Lessons can be private, semi-private (2 riders) or class of 3 or more. We do not have regular group sessions for riders to join. The shared or class lessons are only available when a group of individuals request to ride together.
Tuition is available for horse owners and for students in preparation for exams. Please enquire.
To book a lesson please download the Lesson Request Form, complete in full, sign and return by email. We will acknowledge receipt, and then get back to you by phone to discuss your requirements and subject to availability of instructors arrange the lessons.
We can put together a training course to meet your individual requirements. You don't have to be a competition rider to train at YRC. You can come as an individual and we also welcome small groups. The programme can be as intensive as you like or can be arranged to leave time to relax, watch others ride or go sightseeing in the area.
You can come for a day, a short stay mid week/weekend or for a week or more.
You are equally welcome if you are a novice or an advanced rider. We can help you train your horse whether just for general improvement or towards competition in dressage, show jumping or eventing. Our extensive facilities and experienced instructors can provide you with the training you require.
We no longer have riding school horses or ponies for hire for lessons.
We can provide livery for your horse and parking for your vehicles. We have some basic student and chalet self-catering accommodation on site. For those visitors wanting bed & breakfast, we can provide details of local B&Bs and Hotels.
Because individual requirements vary so much we suggest you contact our office manager, Billie. She will be delighted to assist you in putting together your course.
We take horses of all ages for schooling whether for specialist training towards Dressage, Show Jumping or Eventing or for general education. We have riders here who can train and compete your horse and we have the facilities to show and sell your horse if desired.
Short term training is charged on a daily basis (see price list) while long term training and if desired competing is charged at a more economical monthly rate. If you are interested in long term training please contact one of our team of trainers.
