Lessons at Yorkshire Riding Centre

Riding Lessons are available either on your own horse or on one of our horses. Please be aware that for lessons on a school horse we have a weight limit of 12 ½ stone. We do not provide lessons for children under 8 years of age.

The centre has four grades of qualified instructor (Chief Instructor, Advanced Instructor, Intermediate Instructor and Assistant Instructor) and instruction is also available in all aspects of stable management and teaching theory.

Lessons can be private, semi-private (2 people) or class (3 to 6 people). We do however recommend that clients wanting to join a class or semi private lesson come initially for a private assessment so that they can join the most suitable group.

Lessons are taught on an hourly basis: Tuesday to Friday 9am to 8pm (the last lesson starting at 7pm) and Saturday 9am to 4pm (the last lesson starting at 3pm). We do not generally teach on a Sunday or Monday although exceptions can sometimes be made.
