Christopher teaches and trains riders at the YRC, around the U.K. and across Europe. For 16 years up to 2016, he was National Coach to the German Olympic Three Day Event Team - Winners of Team Silver and Individual Gold at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Team and Individual Gold medals at the London Olympics in 2012 and at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Christopher has been the British Eventing Team's High Performance Coach since 2017. The GB Team were winners of the Team and Individual Gold medals at the World Equestrian Games in 2018.
Christopher does not exclusively teach higher level competition riders, he is also willing to teach less experienced riders on their own horses. Awarded Hon. Fellowship of the British Horse Society in 2001 Received the British Horse Society's Trainers Award in 1995 Christopher has competed internationally in both Dressage and Eventing.
Educated at Ampleforth College and Bristol University, B.Sc.(Econ). Trained initially by his mother, Mrs Nicole Bartle and then principally by Hans von Blixen-Finecke, (Gold Medal - Helsinki Olympics 1952). Christopher has a video training course available on wehorse.
